The Black Tusk

Description
What is a good way to spend your day outside? Go for a walk, how about a bike ride? One day this summer, my friend and I decided to ascend the remains of a old volcano in Garibaldi Provincial Park, more commonly known as the Black Tusk. While we were lucky to get a break in the clouds upon reaching the top after a technical scramble, during the climb strong winds and clouds surrounded us. It made for a unique moment, akin to the landscape of Mordor in Lord of the Rings.
