Description
The Great Trail runs beside the old Pinawa Dam which was Manitoba's first hydro-electric dam opening in 1906 and used until 1905. In the 1980s the site was made into a provincial park and it is such a privilege to be able to go and witness nature taking back this crumbling site. It is equally stunning in all four seasons but especially remarkable in the fall when the leaves are turning golden. This photo was taken at sunset and you can see the dam in the background just behind the trees.
