Description
We were lucky enough to see 2 Coopers Hawks released back into the wild today. Both of the birds were rescued by O.W.L. Raptor Rehab, one had flown into a window and the other was shot and had an injured leg. After getting the attention they needed they were released back into the wild in the area they were found.
I received a message the morning I took this from a friend that works at OWL asking if I wanted to come out for it, and I wouldn't have missed that for the world!
This is the second of the two releases, the Hawk took a moment to look around before taking off and spreading her wings....amazing that this bird survived after being shot.
