The winners will be selected by a panel of judges in Ottawa, Ontario on October 21, 2011.

Winners will be notified by 5 p.m. EST on November 4, 2011. Decision of the judges is final.

The winning photos will be published in the January 2012 issue of Canadian Geographic.
